Luc Jones Люк Джонс, партнер рекрутинговой компании Antal International Russia, посетил город Ташкент и  выступил с презентацией перед представителями Ассоциации профессиональных участников страхового рынка Узбекистана и руководителями нескольких государственных и частных узбекских страховых компаний. Мероприятие, проходившее в здании Министерства Финансов Узбекистана,  собрало около 30 участников.

Люк Джонс рассказал об общих тенденциях на рынке труда стран СНГ, об «эффекте декаплинга» при котором мультинациональные компании уделяют больше внимания новым рынкам, в особенности станам BRIC, а также поделился с аудиторией прогнозами на будущее. Люк Джонс ответил на вопросы о том, как привлечь в компанию хороших специалистов и предотвратить текучку кадров.

Участники презентации были полны оптимизма относительно будущего экономики Узбекистана, благодаря тому, что все большее число иностранных компаний готовы инвестировать в местную экономику и открывать представительства в Узбекистане – в основном это Российские компании, а также компании из Европы и  Восточной Азии.

On Saturday 28th June, Luc Jones, Partner with Antal International Russia traveled to Tashkent to give a presentation to the Uzbek Insurance Association and the directors of several state and private insurance companies in Uzbekistan. In total around 30 people were present, and the event took place in the Uzbek ministry of finance board room, next to the parliament building of president Mr Islam Karimov.

Luc Jones talked about general trends on the CIS market, including the tightening labour market, the ‘decoupling’ effect whereby multinationals are paying more attention to newer markets, in particular the BRIC countries, and predictions for the future. Luc also answered questions on how to attract good people and prevent subsequent staff turnover in commercial companies.

The general mood amongst participants regarding the future of the Uzbek economy was cautious optimism and this has been helped by an increasing number of foreign companies investing and setting up offices in Uzbekistan - notably from Russia, but also from Europe and East Asia.

compete when it comes to salary, and clearly offer substantial opportunities to engage in the training and development, promotional and management-track schemes which are already offered by the best international businesses. Put simply, professionally trained lawyers don’t any longer have to work from dawn until dusk, they are looked after as people, and they have a career rather than a ‘track’.

So what does all is mean? Super salaries to employ in-house attorneys, super salaries for law firms to retain their best talent (which most largely fail to do)? Yes possibly. But maybe there is another solution:

Конференция была ориентирована на немецких предпринимателей и собрала около 200 участников, заинтересованных в украинском рынке. Большой интерес вызвало выступление Михаэля Гермерсхаузена об особенностях подбора персонала среднего и высшего управленческих звеньев в Украине, поскольку многие из участников мероприятия в настоящее время планируют старт или расширение своего бизнеса в этой стране.

Michael Germershausen, Deputy Managing Director at British Recruitment Company Antal International Russia, spoke on the Conference “Economy in Ukraine”, organized by The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rhine-Neckar, which took place 17th June in Mannheim (Germany). The Conference was aimed at German entrepreneurs and attracted over 200 participants interested in the Ukrainian market.
