There is no doubt that Accounting is the most cross border of all professions. Firstly it has the distinct advantage of being numbers based, some would say factual. It is this foundation that curtails the issues of interpretation in a way that the legal profession simply can’t match. The drive towards convergence in accounting standards is also more complete now than ever before. US quoted companies must comply with US Gaap and Sarbanes Oxley. EU quoted companies comply with IFRS. Neither set of rules is far apart and there is a goal of convergence on both sides of the Atlantic. These two great trading blocks, controlling vast amounts of the world’s financial capital, have dictated accounting methods which most of the world seems intent on following.

Polish Economy is growing at a faster rate than it was expected by the most optimistic economists. Therefore, during the last three years, the position of the Polish employers have been changed from those who were offering jobs and selecting candidates to the ones who searching for the appropriate employees.
Main problem is to find highly qualified employees in smaller towns, located near the big city agglomerations. Taking into consideration the geography of Poland the most difficult area to supply employers with skilful workers is southern-west part of the country.

HR departments are gaining weight within the corporate structure and HR managers are going up in price
A pushy Head of Recruitment candidate who is able to sell anything including her own competence could increase her salary by 63% by moving to a western Pharmaceutical Company. Her extensive work experience was the main argument in negotiations with employer and the personality of the candidate was the main determinative factor. “Our client was ready to pay our candidate 25,000 Rubles a month more than it originally could offer!” – Exclaims Ramis Imangulov, a consultant at Antal International Russia, the largest International Executive Recruitment Company present in Moscow.

Según los últimos estudios realizados a nivel mundial, los altos directivos españoles del área de finanzas de empresas multinacionales con sede en España se encuentran en las primeras posiciones del ranking europeo de profesionales financieros mejor pagados. En concreto, sólo luxemburgueses (con salarios mínimos de 175.000 euros) y británicos (104.000 euros) superan al profesional español en lo que a salario se refiere, posicionándose éste –Directivo Financiero de unos 10-15 años de experiencia con un salario mínimo de 100.000 euros- por delante de los altos directivos de países de referencia como Alemania, Holanda, Francia e Italia.
