52% PRACODAWCÓW AKTYWNIE ZATRUDNIA SPECJALISTÓW I MENEDŻERÓW

„Kryzys nadal determinuje polski rynek pracy specjalistów i menedżerów” wyjaśnia Artur Skiba, Dyrektor Zarządzający Antal International. Wskaźnik aktywnego zatrudniania specjalistów i menedżerów spadł z 60% w listopadzie zeszłego roku do 52% w kwietniu tego roku, natomiast odsetek firm deklarujących zwolnienia wzrósł adekwatnie z 15% do 30%.

52% OF BUSINESSES IN POLAND ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING PROFESSIONALS AND MANAGERS

In Poland 52% of businesses are currently hiring and 30% are firing professionals and managers according to the new quarterly survey Global Snapshot, carried out by recruitment company Antal International.

The “Global Snapshot” from the international recruitment firm, Antal International, asked 4217 companies in major markets such as Western and Eastern Europe, Africa, India, China and the USA whether they were currently hiring at professional and managerial level. It then asked whether they planned to do so in the coming quarter and whether they were currently letting staff go or were planning to do so in the next three months.

“Although Poland is one of Eastern Europe’s strongest economies, it doesn’t mean that the global financial situation hadn’t had an impact on professional and managerial recruitment market” says Artur Skiba, Managing Director of Antal International in Poland. The percentage of organisations recruiting has dropped from 60% last November to 52% in April this year, whilst percentage of businesses shedding staff has risen from a very low 15% in the last report to 30% now. “On a more positive note this is set to drop to 22% in the coming quarter so hopefully we’ve just witnessed the pick of the firing trend and can expect a falling trend”.

A quarterly survey of hiring and firing trends in over 30 key countries has found job prospects for professionals and managers in Romania worse than the global average. However the percentage of organisations here shedding staff at this level is lower than the worldwide average, suggesting that the jobs market is at least beginning to level out.

The ‘Global Snapshot’ from the international recruitment firm, Antal, asked 4217 companies in major markets such as western and eastern Europe, Africa, India, China and the USA whether they were currently hiring at professional and managerial level. It then asked whether they planned to do so in the coming quarter and whether they were currently letting staff go or were planning to do so in the next three months. Current hiring across the globe was down from 54% of respondents at the beginning of the year to 47% now. However the percentage of organisations intending to hire in the coming quarter had actually risen from 43% to 44%.

In Romania 39% of businesses were currently recruiting and 36% expected to recruit in the coming quarter. 28% were in the process of reducing headcount, but only 26% expected to do so over the next three months.
