Global employment survey finds upward trend in Bulgarian jobs market
A quarterly survey of hiring and firing trends around the world has found that recruitment levels in Bulgaria have risen since the beginning of 2010, and job losses are down
The ‘Global Snapshot’ from the international recruitment firm, Antal surveyed more than 9600 organisations in 55 countries on whether they were currently hiring and firing at professional and managerial level. It then asked whether they planned to do so in the coming quarter. 47% of Bulgarian companies said that they were currently hiring compared to 41% in the last report in January.
The percentage of Bulgarian companies letting managers and professionals go has also dropped significantly to 19% from 28% last quarter.
Posted in the Bulgaria category on September 17, 2009
“Global Snapshot” e

Posted in the Bulgaria category on June 2, 2009

“Now it is evident. The current crisis is not affecting employment all over, but rather is targeting some sectors and type of work. For sure banking and financial services are in the heart of this cyclone. Apart from that many nonskilled and manufacturing workers will be laid off.
Still there are needs for talents and they will become more and more specific skills in shortage. Global experience will be on the top of the requirements.
Global Survey Finds Bulgaria Significantly Reducing Its Firing Rates
A major new survey of hiring and firing trends in over 100 countries has found that Bulgaria has significantly reduced the number of managerial/professional staff being fired, despite the economic downturn.
According to the Global Snapshot report from international recruitment specialist, Antal, which surveyed employers in 107 countries around the world levels of recruitment in Bulgaria have changed dramatically since their previous quarter with hiring rates dropping from 89% to a low 28%. However, despite this large cut in the hiring of managerial and professional staff, the rate of current and future firing has dropped from a very high 49% to just 4% whilst none of the businesses questioned expressed an expectation that they would further reduce staffing levels in the coming quarter.
